Speaking the language of the soul
Cosplay/Crossplay/Furry Fandom/LARP Communities
Originating in Japan in the 1970s and now spread across the globe, cosplay and crossplay involve replicating specific fictional characters by adopting their affect, mannerisms, and body language. These characters range from anime, manga, and comic figures to furry animals and movie characters like those in StarTrek.
FUNDSTUME plans to engage with several organizations to create and develop character costumes specifically for this environment, as well as to organize lectures and exhibits showcasing the varieties in this environment at places such as convention centers, markets, parks, clubs, and warehouses.
Through their Grant Giving Program, FUNDSTUME will provide funding to several out of 24+ organizations for running their conventions and to select independent groups for carrying out activities within those and for executing similar independent events. In addition to financial support, FUNDSTUME will offer human resources for project execution and fiscal sponsorship services.
