Ponce <-> Tenerife Carnivals

This cooperation between the Cities of Ponce, Puerto Rico, U.S. and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, showcases the essence of the annual Carnivals held in both locations. The collaboration highlights prominent costume characters, traditional rituals, and the contributions of Canarian Islanders who migrated to Puerto Rico and the U.S. from the 17th to the 20th centuries.
